Yuhuan (Xuanmen Bay) Water Scenic Spot boasts its stunning natural beauty and excellent ecological environment. Mudflats, wetlands, islands and mountains and woods add beauty and radiance to each other. There are 40 single tourism resources in total, among which the excellent ones reach 75%, totaling 37 ones (ten Level V tourism resources, 13 Level IV ones and 7 Level III ones) and the ordinary ones reach 25%, totaling 10 ones (six Level II tourism resources and four Level I ones).

The unique and harmonious integration of the hydrological, geographical, astronomical, biological, engineering and cultural landscapes presents an orderly space distribution. The over-9,500-mu freshwater wetland in the scenic spot mainly involves such existing single tourism resources as the wetland for water birds, the natural secondary wetland for tamarisk, the secondary wetland for the relic of reclamation project, the river segment for sightseeing in Jiuyan Port and the swamp and wetland of Yandang reed catkins. The existing vegetation sightseeting park mainly includes the cultivated vegetation, of which the dominating variety is broad-leaved evergreen forests (the casuarina trees and economic Yuhuan pomelo trees), while the reclamation area mainly covers the natural vegetation, of which the dominating varieties are the marsh and aquatic vegetation (the reed community and alternanthera philoxeroides community) as well as the coastal halophytic vegetation (the suaeda salsa community). Besides, the flora belongs to the north to the southern China area of Sino-Japan forest subkingdom.
