Option A: Citizen Square
If you don’t have time to travel a long distance but still want to enjoy the plum flowers, the best place is Citizen Square. Recently, the plum trees on the square have already started blossoming. There are layered brilliant Gulihong, Gongfen from light red to dark red, and white Lu’e plum with dark green branchlets, the fragrance of which attracts many citizens. Now it’s early spring and also the best season of the year to enjoy the plum flowers. If you want to stay close to the nature and feast your eyes, don’t miss the chance.
Option B: Jiazhijing
When the ancients enjoyed the plum flowers, they focused on “stream” “drizzle”. In the previous days, by spring rains, there are many plum trees at Jiazhijing blooming quietly, which attracts many passing-by citizens to stop and enjoy.
Those plum flowers contending in beauty and fascination become an ocean of flowers with delicate red flowers and elegant white flowers, occasionally with bees flying on the stamens and pistils, which is overflowing with vigour and creates an image of flowers blooming like a piece of brocade. Option A: Huangyan Jiufeng Park
Huangyan Jiufeng Baochun Garden is located at the foot of Huangyan Jiufeng Mountain. Plum trees are planted against the mountain with charming scenery. Once entering Huangyan Jiufeng Park, the journalist will be attracted by the beautiful scenery. The sunshine comes through the towering pine trees with layered light spots jumping on the branches. White, red or light green buds are waiting to bloom and the branches are horizontal or slanting in a variety of shapes and forms. How charming it is! As is known to the journalist, when it becomes cold in spring, more than 30 species in the garden and 1200 pots of plum flowers may come out against the snow. Lots of flowers will greet crowded tourists then.
As is learnt by the journalist, other schools of potted landscapes are mainly characterized by “tying”, Jiufeng Plum Garden’s plum trees are characterized by “cutting”. Namely, plum branches are grafted on fruit plum branches and flower plum branches in deep mountains and old forests. It needs to prune after the blossom every year and try to keep original styles representing the spirits of plum flowers. Huangyan Plum Trees have won honorable awards for many times in competitions, known as “Huangyan Plum Trees Send Breathtaking Beauty to the World”.
“Starting from the first lunar day this year, we set a plum flower potted landscape exhibition at the gate of the park. There are more than 200 pots and 20 species of plum flowers for citizens.”, introduced by the workers of Baochun Garden’s Administrative Office.
There are green hills at the three sides of the whole Jiufeng Park with winding streams, towering ancient trees, bouquets of flowers and piles of brocades, and twittered birds and fragrant flowers. Terraces and towers add radiance and beauty to each other, with peaceful, beautiful and comfortable natural environment. Thanks to the beautiful scenery, since the Song Dynasty, it has been a place for scholars to write and read poems.

Option B: Huangyan Plum Trees Corridor
It is located at Nancheng Yaoshan Village and was built in early 2004. Everyone passing by Huangyan Yaoshan Village on 104 National Road could enjoy the charm of Huangyan Plum Trees. Taizhou Plum Trees have a long history with natural and clean plantation. The stockroots, trunks and boughs are all from wild old plum trees. The skilled craftsmen reshape, prune and sculpt on the basis of natural essences. More than 5000 pots of plum trees have strange shapes: some are laying on the surfaces of pots like flying eagles; some are mottled to show their great charm; some are curving with both hard and soft characteristics; some are in full blossom on dangerous stiffs; some trunks are weathered into dead woods but still sprouting shoots. These old plum trees are rare curiosities which surely feast your eyes.

Yongning Park: The park is based on modern and simple style and characterized by ecology with water as the main part around which there are pavilions, green slopes, trees and bamboo forest. Huangyan Grottoes: Clear azure water winds through the empty mountain, and one cave is connected with another cave. It’s also a poetic imagery if you raft in the mountain. The natural and mystical multicolored petroglyphs are found everywhere on the stone wall like brocade and embroidery. The scenic spot integrates with mountains and rivers, imperial sculptures, quarrying culture and local gentlemen, allowing the tourists to learn about the history and enjoy the beautiful scenery during the carefree visit.
Tiantai
Option A: Guoqing Temple
Talking about the place to enjoy plum flowers in Tiantai, Guoqing Temple is a must-topic with Sui Plum Flowers of more than 1,300 years’ history
In the east of Daxiong Palace of Guoqing Temple, there is a Sui plum tree which is said to be planted by Zhang’an Master with white and simple flowers and fruits, known as one of national five ancient plum trees. When it cames to flower season, there are petals white as snow and blooming against the wind.
As is seen by the journalist, the root of the plum tree is spitted and the stomach part is empty with Qiu Vines intertwining around. There is an old vine intertwining into shape of braids and growing upwards, blended with the complex branches above, blurring the vines and branches. There are dense mosses on the branches with thin vines intertwining. The branches are long and thin with thin covering leaves, looking both lush and thin. There is a wall beside the plum tree with a flower bed along the wall. The plum flowers may grow in the flower bed against the wall. There are two stone tablets on the wall with characters “Sui Plum Trees” written in seal character and official script.
It’s said that the tree had a sign of dying during the Cultural Revolution. In 1982, it blossomed again with numerous flowers, dense but not loud, light and fragrant. With thousands of history, it has been an elder among the plum flowers but it still blooms with numerous fragrant flowers every spring, which attracts many tourists and photographers in and beyond the province.

Chicheng Mountain, aka Shao Mountain, is a single mountain formed by sedimentary rock erosion. It is named after its red color and city-like stones and the only Danxia Landform landscape among Tiantai’s mountains. Every time the sun rises or goes down, the clouds would wind around the mountainside with sunglows shrouded, which is full of glamour.
Qiongtai Fairy Valley: As a typical granite canyon scenic spot, it is known as Small Mount Huang. Walking towards the north along the valley, the cliffs are facing each other with grotesque peaks, crystal clear water and rushing down waterfalls, while the more you climb, the higher and the stranger it becomes. There are delicate Baxian Lake, spectacular Shuangque Peak, exquisite Hanging Corridor, magnificent Longtan Falls, solitary Kuahe Stage and charming Tongtian Plank Road, etc., all of which make the tourists linger on with no thought of leaving.

Linhai Plum Flowers Garden
Linhai Plum Flowers Garden is located at the edge of “Jiangnan Great Wall”, at the end of Ziyang Street. It’s known as “Plum Flowers” with 28 species and more than 150 plum trees. Whether a single tree or a forest, each plum flower has its own characteristic, which attracts many tourists to visit. To create cultural atmosphere, the garden pays lots of attention to the layout, scenic spots arrangement, inscribed board and couplet on pillar, and poems stone carving, etc. which enriches the cultures of the plum flowers.
“Several days ago, we went there to take a look and found most of the plum trees had bloomed. It’s the best time to enjoy the plum flowers within ten days.” Wang Haibin of Linhai Tourism Co. told the journalist. After the Spring Festival, it has been blossomed gradually. The tender rain drops on the plum flowers, which is so crystal clear. The cool air mixes with the sweetness of the plum flowers. It is bloom stage now and you can enjoy romantic charm in thousands of postures of the plum flowers.

Linhai Jiangnan Great Wall: With beautiful scenery and magnificent city walls, it’s well-known as “Jiangnan’s Badaling”. It has a history of more than 1,600 years, which can be rated as A Unique Talent in Jiangnan. Now the city wall is 5,000m long with twists and turns.
East Lake: There is a small continent in the lake with “Hunxin Pavilion” in the south.
