On September 9, the 32nd meeting of the 6th Standing Committee of the Taizhou Municipal People's Congress was held, at which it was decided to accept Wang Jian's request to resign from the post of Mayor of the Taizhou Municipal People's Government. The meeting decided to appoint Zhang Dengfeng as Vice Mayor of the Taizhou Municipal People's Government and Acting Mayor of the Taizhou Municipal People's Government. Wu Haiping, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Taizhou Municipal People's Congress; Vice Chairmen Chen Meiping, Wang Rongqian, Peng Yongjun, Chen Jianbin, and Lyu Tingting; and Secretary General Chen Gangmin attended the meeting.
