On the afternoon of August 24, 2026, the Standing Committee of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee held a meeting at Taizhou University to thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on education and the spirit of the meeting of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee specially convened to study the work of Zhejiang University, further convey the firm determination of the Municipal Party Committee and the Municipal Government to consistently attach importance to education work and focus on making up for the shortcomings in higher education, and step up support for Taizhou University's efforts toward "upgrading to a university, applying for doctoral programs, and striving for first-class status", thereby providing stronger support for Taizhou's high-quality catch-up development.
