Accelerating the creation of a new vision for integrated urban-rural development and common prosperity is an important part of the "1336" work system of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee, and it is also the one among the six new visions that is most directly related to people's livelihood and best reflects the quality of development. On the morning of October 9, Wang Jian, Secretary of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee, presided over a special meeting to study and make work arrangements for integrated urban-rural development and common prosperity. Chen Tingchen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee and Executive Vice Mayor, attended the meeting.

After carefully listening to relevant work reports, Wang Jian emphasized the need to further raise ideological awareness and deeply recognize that accelerating the creation of a new vision for integrated urban-rural development and common prosperity is a political task of bearing in mind the instructions and forging ahead with gratitude, the core of implementing the decisions and arrangements of the Provincial Party Committee and delivering outstanding results, and an inevitable requirement for shoring up weaknesses in urban-rural development and highlighting the quality of high-quality development. He stressed the need to strengthen goal orientation, highlight the principal role of counties, adhere to local conditions, and focus on the people’s sense of gain, persistently grasp the work firmly and effectively, continue to promote generally rapid growth of urban and rural residents’ incomes, high-quality and balanced basic public services, and steady improvement of living standards, so as to better meet the people’s aspiration for a better life.
