"Virtue nourishes Taizhou, and good deeds shine like lamps; walk with good people and embrace warmth!" The poetry recitation In Search of the Lantern, inspired by the intangible cultural heritage of skeleteless lanterns, opened this grand ceremony honoring role models.

On September 17, the 2026 Taizhou "Civic Virtue Awareness Day" themed event and the centralized release ceremony for the first-half-year "Taizhou Good People List" were held at Xianju Technician College.

The event was hosted by the Publicity Department of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee (the Municipal Civilization Office) and organized by the Publicity Department of the Xianju County Party Committee (the County Civilization Office). It aimed to thoroughly study and implement the guiding principles of the General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on civic morality development, continue to build the "Virtue Nourishes Taizhou" civic morality brand, and foster a sound atmosphere across the city of honoring virtue, valuing goodness, and emulating exemplary individuals.

At the event, certificates were presented to the 16 individuals named to the "Taizhou Good People List" for the first half of 2026. Among them were Zhang Panpan, who has written a chapter of common prosperity with cloth shoes; Cai Minrong, who bravely rescued an elderly Party member from a fire; and Li Suyun, who has accompanied her neighbors to medical appointments free of charge for 22 years... Countless sparks gather to form a blazing torch, illuminating this extraordinary "City of Good People" — Taizhou.
