Taizhou's Consumer Market Rebounds in 2024, Enhancing Quality of Life

From daily essentials like grains, oil, and tea to clothing, housing, transportation, entertainment, and leisure, the shopping habits of Taizhou residents reflect their aspirations for a better life, fueling market vitality.

The city achieved a total retail sales volume of consumer goods amounting to ¥290 billion, a 4.8% year-on-year increase. Additionally, in the "old-for-new" trade-in program, Taizhou allocated ¥1.11 billion in subsidies, with a utilization rate of 177.4%, ranking third in Zhejiang Province. Throughout 2024, Taizhou focused on stabilizing the consumer market, boosting confidence, and unleashing consumption potential. The city actively implemented the "Two New" policy, took multiple measures to optimize and diversify supply, enhanced service quality and consumer experience, and promoted structural transformation in consumption, further revitalizing the market and sustaining its recovery.
