On February 18, Zhejiang Province held a mobilization and deployment conference in Hangzhou for the in-depth advancement of the "Eight Major Initiatives," better fulfilling the cultural mission of the new era, and accelerating the construction of a high-level culturally strong province. Wang Hao, Secretary of the Zhejiang Provincial Party Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. He emphasized that this year marks the 20th anniversary of General Secretary Xi Jinping's implementation of the "Eight Major Initiatives" in cultural construction during his tenure in Zhejiang, as well as the 20th anniversary of the proposal of the "pioneering spirit of the Red Boat." Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, Zhejiang must deeply study and implement Xi Jinping's cultural thought, earnestly carry out the General Secretary's important speeches made during his visit to Zhejiang, and remain steadfast in implementing the "Eight & Eight Strategy." The province should deepen the "Eight Major Initiatives" in cultural construction, strengthen cultural confidence and awareness, and focus on building "Five New Hubs." By integrating "culture + technology," "culture + tourism," and "culture + livelihood," Zhejiang aims to shape souls with culture, empower development with culture, and enrich the people with culture. This will enhance cultural soft power, contribute to the high-quality development and common prosperity demonstration zone, and accelerate the creation of an "important window," striving to write a new chapter in Zhejiang's Chinese-style modernization.
