In June, the 2023 National Science and Technology Awards were announced. Two projects involving Taizhou enterprises were awarded second prizes in the National Science and Technology Progress Award: the "Key Technologies and Engineering Applications of Centrifugal Pumps in Complex and Variable Conditions" project, participated by Leo Group, and the "Key Technologies and Applications for Improving the Accuracy and Stability of High-end CNC Machine Tools" project, participated by Headman Intelligent Equipment. This marks the best result for Taizhou in five years.

In July, following Linhai’s win of the Zhejiang provincial Science and Technology Innovation Cup last year, both Jiaojiang and Xianju earned this honor, further enhancing Taizhou’s sci-tech innovation capacity.

Since the beginning of this year, Taizhou has actively promoted the "Innovation Taizhou" primary strategy, focusing on cultivating new productivity and strategically allocating resources in key areas. By concentrating on coordinating resource allocation, the effectiveness of technological empowerment for high-quality development has been accelerating.

From January to July, the added value of Taizhou’s high-tech industries accounted for 73.11% of the city's industrial added value above designated size, ranking second in the province. Taizhou also achieved 125.1% of the annual target for investment in major sci-tech infrastructure projects, ranking first in Zhejiang Province.
