On the afternoon of January 7, Wang Jian, Mayor and Secretary of the Party Group of the Taizhou Municipal Government, presided over the Taizhou Municipal Government Party Group (Expanded) Meeting and the 75th Executive Meeting of the municipal government. The meeting conveyed, studied and implemented General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches delivered at the meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, the democratic life meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and the New Year tea reception of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference; his 2026 New Year address; his important instructions on the work of central enterprises and on advancing work related to agriculture, rural areas and farmers; as well as the spirit of his important article titled Study and Implement Well the Spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, published in Qiushi Journal. The meeting heard reports on the fulfillment by members of the leadership team of the "dual responsibilities" of fully and strictly governing the Party, on efforts to advance the concentrated rectification of misconduct and corruption issues occurring close to the people, and on the implementation of issues identified at the 2024 democratic life meeting of the Party Group of the Taizhou Municipal Government. The meeting also conveyed, studied and implemented the spirit of the Fifth Session of the Sixth Taizhou Municipal Party Congress, and heard reports on the drafting of relevant reports to be submitted to the Sixth Session of the Sixth Taizhou Municipal People's Congress.
