In recent years, with the accelerated transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry, the proportion of skilled workers in the talent demand structure has become increasingly significant. Consequently, the cultivation and support of this workforce have garnered growing societal attention.

Starting today, the Several Provisions of Taizhou Municipality on Improving the Treatment of Skilled Workers and Expanding the Middle-Income Group officially come into effect, aimed at "benefiting" this group. This legislation is the first local regulation in China aimed at enhancing the treatment of skilled workers. It was passed by the Taizhou Municipal People’s Congress Standing Committee at the end of 2023 and approved on March 29, 2024, by the ninth meeting of the Standing Committee of the 14th Zhejiang Provincial People’s Congress.
