On the afternoon of June 5, Shen Mingquan, deputy secretary of the Taizhou Municipal Party Committee and mayor, visited Huangyan to investigate the protection and preservation of historical and cultural heritage. During the visit, Shen emphasized the importance of thoroughly implementing General Secretary Xi Jinping's significant insights on enhancing the protection and inheritance of historical and cultural heritage. He stressed the need to rigorously follow the directives of the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government, to further strengthen cultural confidence, and to shoulder the new cultural mission with greater resolve. Shen called for a higher perspective, increased efforts, and practical measures to ensure the effective protection, inheritance, and utilization of historical and cultural assets. He underscored the goal of creating more high-recognition cultural icons that represent the city, which will, in turn, provide robust spiritual and cultural impetus for Taizhou's high-quality economic and social development.
