During the Qingming Festival holiday, with concentrated travel demands and strong intentions for ancestral tomb sweeping trips across provinces and cities, there was a significant increase in local and short-distance travel, resulting in a large influx of vehicles. As a result, the traffic flow on expressways across Taizhou increased significantly. On April 7, it was learned from the Taizhou Traffic Police Bureau of the Public Security Bureau that during the Qingming Festival holiday, the daily average volume of vehicles on expressways in Taizhou reached approximately 294,500, an increase of 51.02% compared to normal daily traffic. The daily average volume of vehicles on local roads was approximately 1.9019 million, which remained relatively stable compared to the usual traffic volume before the holiday.
