From 12.5% to 92.9%: Battle of Quality Improvement behind the “Spotlight”

A nationwide quality spot check accidentally makes the intelligent closestools made in Taizhou in the spotlight.


According to “Weekly Report on Quality”, a program of CCTV, Shanghai Market Supervision Administration released the results of a spot check on the quality of intelligent closestools being sold on online platforms, and the results are unsatisfactory: Among the 28 batches of products that accepted the spot check, 11 batches are disqualified; the disqualification rate is high: 39.3%. In these products being checked, not all products are domestic brands. Some brands are made in Republic of Korea and the United States, and 60% of brands made in Republic of Korea are disqualified. But domestic brands bring us good news. Two brands of intelligent closestools made in Taizhou successfully passed the spot check. The qualification rate takes a lead nationwide. The quality of these products is much better than those foreign brands that accepted the spot check.
