CPI in Urban Taizhou Has a Year-on-year Increase of 2.5% in Aug

The Taizhou investigation team of the National Bureau of Statistics was quoted as saying on September 12 that the consumer price index (CPI) of urban residents in Taizhou has a year-on-year increase of 2.5% in August. Among them, the food price increases by 1.1%; non-food price increases by 2.8%; consumer price increases by 2.0%; and service price increases by 3.2%.


Residents spend more money on food-based products in August. The prices of food, tobacco and alcohol have a year-on-year increase of 1.8%. Among them, the price of eggs increases by 13.3%; the price of fresh vegetables increase by 3.0%; the price of fresh fruit increases by 1.3%; and the price of livestock meat decreases by 4.8% (in which, the price of pork decreases by 7.1%).
