On May 8, Zhang Xiaoqiang, Deputy Chief of Taizhou Municipal Party Committee and the Acting Mayor of Taizhou City, met the Polish delegation led by Wojciech Lubawski, Mayor of Kielce.

Zhang Xiaoqiang welcomed Polish guests for visiting Taizhou and made a brief introduction to socioeconomic development of Taizhou in recent years. He said that the friendship between China and Poland is long-standing and well-established. Taizhou also formed profound friendly relations with Kielce in numerous mutual exchanges. Taizhou hopes to deepen the exchange and cooperation with Kielce on trade, convention, culture and education. The Kielce Municipal Government invited Taizhou to attend the International Sister City Conference in August. We accept the invitation and we wish the conference a great success.

This is the third time for Wojciech Lubawski to visit Taizhou. He praised highly of the new achievements that Taizhou made in development. He hopes that the International Sister City Conference would show the achievements made by both cities and promote communication and cooperation between the two cities.

The Polish delegation visited Chunghsin Technology Group Co., Ltd and Zhejiang Crystal-Optech Co., Ltd. on the afternoon on May 8.

In Chunghsin Technology Group Co., Ltd, Polish guests learned about the company’s history and visited the company’s product manufacturing workshop and R&D lab. Polish guests praised highly of the electrical equipment manufactured by the company, including television, tablet PC, laptop and displayer. They hoped to get opportunity to form partnership with the company and explore new trade market.

In Zhejiang Crystal-Optech Co., Ltd, Polish guests visited the company’s product showroom and manufacturing workshop and learned how to use the hi-tech optical equipment. They praised highly of the achievements that Taizhou made in technical innovation and hoped to form further partnership on technology with Taizhou.

On the morning on May 9, the Polish delegation visited Taizhou Luan Tan (a traditional Chinese opera) Troupe and appreciated a performance specially arranged by the city for the International Sister City Conference, showing art forms with distinctive local features, including Taizhou Luan Tan, folk music and tea ceremony. The excellent performance by artists impressed Polish guests. Mayor Lubawski said this is a performance with world-class standard. He actively discussed issues with professionals, such as how to make preparation for the performance in Poland and welcomed Taizhou artists to introduce the amazing Taizhou culture to citizens of Kielce.

In August this year, this performance will debut on the International Sister City Conference in Kielce. It will introduce the traditional culture and traditional opera of Taizhou to the world.
