“Journey of Seeking Roots in China” Summer Camp – Taizhou Station Opened

Love for hometown, innocent heart of a child. The Taizhou Station of 2017 Young Ethnic Chinese “Journey of Seeking Roots in China” Summer Camp, which is hosted by Overseas Chinese Affairs Offices of the State Council and Department of Foreign and Overseas Chinese Affairs of Zhejiang Province and organized by Taizhou Radio & Television University, is officially opened on July 4. Over 70 young ethnic Chinese from 5 countries including Germany, France, America and Canada are to engage in a 10-day activity in Taizhou.

It is learnt that the Taizhou Station is themed on “Charming Taizhou, Journey of Seeking Roots”. Campers will savor fashion in downtown area, review history in ancient town Linhai, appreciate culture in Tiantai, visiting mountains and rivers in Xianju, and enjoy ocean in Wenling. Apart from enjoying natural and humanistic landscape at site, they will also take part in calligraphy, bandhnu, paper-cutting, playing Taiji, making sachet and making shibingtong to review traditions and fully experience the customs and cultural features of Taizhou, which will help them have a deeper understanding of China and Chinese culture and enhance the communication and exchange between overseas and Chinese youths.
